Race Car Design

The Formula SAE is part of a global competition amongst students with the purpose of building an actual high performance race car. Based on this design I was invited to work in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department at The Ben Gurion University. Together we will build an actual working model that will compete in a race scheduled for September 2022.

Personal race Car Design

This was my personal concept for Formula SAE that I made a semester before the final version of the race car that was produced  for competition.

RoboSub

Airborne drones are now a common tool used by hobbyists. As part of a Future Concept Design class I designed an inexpensive, underwater drone that can be operated remotely using a smart phone application nearby. It is designed to move along the sea surface, identify objects and either pick them up or remove them.

An embedded camera pops up on demand and transmits video of its environment as it moves along the sea bed.

Its compact design enables simple storage and transport. Because it communicates over a wireless network it's range is somewhat fixed, but future wireless communication technologies might permit it to move along a deep sea bed and become a exploration tool. The orange color makes the submersible drone easy to locate, visually.

Student Mobile Trailer

The goal of this project was to create a mobile home to fit the needs of a student in the compact and practical way.

The home had to accommodate water storage, electricity,

a bed, shower, work station, kitchen and a second floor.

The mobile home integrates a foldable roof with a solar panel so electricity can be generated and stored both while in motion and when it is stationary. It also provides shade for the balcony sitting on the “roof” of the home. The student climbs to the balcony using ladder rungs fixed to the rear of the mobile home.

The rear door opens to the kitchen and the bathroom that integrates a shower stall and toilet with a movable curtain.

Behind the bathroom is a work station with window integrated to the trailer body

On the left side of the trailer, accessible from the outside, is the battery, water tank and sewage tank. Pipe connections on the side permit filling the water tank and drainage of the sewage.
